You will have to take your old metal gear out and press it inside this plastic gear The easiest way of removing your metal gear is using a hot air gun until it gets loose and then just removing it with pliers. After it cools down you can use a stanley knife to take out leftover plastic that got stuck to the metal. After you have it cleaned up you can use a vise to press metal gear into the plastic replacement. If the metal gear does not sit inside tight you can use a drop of hot glue / super glue / gorilla glue to lock it in place
